Capital One – It’s story started in 1944 whenSignet Financial (which was later purchased by Wells Fargo) spun off its credit card division, which at the time was called OakStone Financial. The company was quickly renamed Capital One and became fully independent in 1995. It’s nowadays considered the eighth-largest bank in the United States (in assets). It is headquartered in Tysons Corner, Virginia, and operates 963 retail banking branches and over 2,000 ATMs spread over  New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia, Louisiana, and Texas.
